What are some good movies to watch?

What are some good movies to watch? I enjoy movies that actually carry some meaning to them, and can be somewhat regarded as intellectual. I also enjoy movies with incredibly intelligent characters. For example, I like all of the movies involving Hannibal Lecter, I like Inside man because of the main character, and also someone like Reid from Criminal Minds. I also enjoy movies like Forrest Gump or The Shawshank Redemption. And I'm also a big fan of fantasy related movies but that genre seems to be lacking. Just listing my interests for people to get some idea of the type of movies I would like suggested. However, any movie that you think is exceptional I urge you to list! Thank you.
