Can I beat a stop sign ticket when the date is incorrect?

The policeman wrote the right numerical date, but circled the wrong day of the week. If I take this to court, can I get off on this technicality? Furthermore, the stop sign is barely visible from the policeman's vantage point, because there are brush and trees blocking the view. Will the court take that into account?
