I'm going to a Boston Bruins game at the Fleet Center in Boston.AM i allowed to bring a detachable lens camera?

I have a nikon D40 and i would like to bring that with me to the game, but i'm afraid they won't let me in with it considering i was not allowed to bring it into Gillette Stadium. Please only answer if you really know, not just guessing. and no smart-*** remarks please! thank you =D!
