An old friend has become ist and snobbish about his education. How can I not let his opinions bother me?

I do not wish to sound mean but his attitude is asking for trouble. My self I would report his ist attitude to the dean of his school...it almost sounds like ual harment and he needs to be made aware that if he keeps that attitude he will be fired and/or sued eventually.
